Message from Head Teacher – Dionne Jude
I am delighted to introduce myself as the new headteacher at Rise. It is an honour and a privilege to join this vibrant and welcoming community. In February 2024, I joined the Rise family as a school improvement partner and worked alongside the leadership team to strengthen all areas of our school. I have over 27 years of experience in education, including my recent role as a Trust Director in the E21C Trust in Bromley.
From my first day at Rise, it was evident that there is something special about the school. The nurturing environment and the staff’s deep understanding of our learners’ needs create a familial atmosphere that is both inspiring and comforting.
In my previous roles, I have had the privilege of working closely with and supporting SENDCOs across eight schools, completing SEND audits and reviews, and collaborating with school leaders to ensure they meet the needs of learners and their families. This experience has deepened my understanding of the unique challenges faced by our young people, and has equipped me with the skills to ensure that every learner has the support they need to succeed.
I am deeply committed to values-based education that focuses on developing the whole child. I believe that only when academic excellence is matched with character excellence can we truly prepare young people for adulthood. My philosophy is rooted in identifying the special gifts of all children and young people, recognising their unique potential, and nurturing them to become well-rounded individuals.
I am committed to building on our strengths and pushing for excellence in all aspects of our school life. My focus will be on bringing increased rigour and maintaining high expectations and standards across the board. I will work closely with key partners to enhance our educational outcomes, ensuring that our learners are well-prepared for adulthood and future successes.
I look forward to working with each of you to continue the remarkable journey of growth and achievement at Rise.
